Your domain name needs to be renewed yearly. If you are hosted with us at StarTunz, we’ll email you when it’s time to renew. Your email will come from our normal email account that you’ll recognize from our other communications. If you prefer, you can also subscribe to automatically pay your nominal registration fee.
So if you receive a letter via USPS telling you that you need to send in a huge payment, it’s FAKE. If you receive a strange email that isn’t from us — it’s FAKE. These scammers get people to send them huge amounts in fear of losing their domain name — and renewals aren’t expensive. That’s the first dead give-away! You can always see our current renewal fee in our services area. At the time of this writing, it is just 24.95 per year.
So, feel free to throw away the letter and delete the email without worries!
